Heart Institute and Pavillion
The $28.5 million CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline Pavilion offers the most comprehensive array of surgical, cardiac and diagnostic services in South Texas in a convenient, patient-friendly atmosphere.
The facilities include:
- Three cardiovascular operating suites.
- An eight-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit located in the CHRISTUS Spohn Surgery Center on the second floor.
- A second-story sky bridge connecting the new building to the main hospital and providing immediate access to coronary care on the second floor, telemetry services on 9B and 10B and all CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline services.
Located on the third floor of the pavilion, the CHRISTUS Spohn Heart Institute's services include three cardiac catheterization labs and a cardiac rehabilitation unit. Tests such as EKG/EEG, cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) and stress testing are also performed here.
