Nationally Accredited Chest Pain Center

Every minute counts when it comes to treating a heart attack. The Chest Pain Center at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi – Shoreline is nationally accredited with precutaneous coronary intervention and is dedicated to treating cardiac emergencies 24-hours-a-day. The Chest Pain Center is an integral part of the hospital’s Emergency Department and is staffed by experienced physicians and nurses specially trained in cardiac emergencies.

Accredited Chest Pain Centers undergo a rigorous evaluation process by the Society of Chest Pain Centers based on ability to assess, diagnose, and treat patients quickly and effectively; clinical outcome statistics and comparisons nationwide. Currently there are fewer than 400 accredited chest pain centers, only representing 10 percent of United States hospitals.
