Administrative Fellowship
Healthcare is a rapidly changing environment requiring skilled leaders who are able to understand and navigate the complex and dynamic healthcare industry. The CHRISTUS Spohn Health System offers one (1) unique opportunity for a qualified candidate interested in gaining a valuable experience in an excellent mission-based healthcare organization through a variety of practical learning experiences. The program is flexible in nature allowing the fellow to tailor the agenda to his or her specific interests in healthcare. The fellow will be appointed to the administrative staff of CHRISTUS Spohn Health System and will be expected to participate in various projects leading to the development of leadership and management competencies. Such projects in the past have been in the area of revenue cycle improvements, business development, hospital emergency department improvements, among others.
Application Requirements
The applicant must have completed an MHA, MBA or equivalent degree from an accredited graduate program before the beginning of the program, interest in a regional health system fellowship opportunity, interest in gaining broad based skills and knowledge from a system perspective, willingness to do projects related to a fellowship and work experience in healthcare. Please submit the following:
- current resume
- at least 2 letters of recommendation (1 professional and 1 academic)
- an official Graduate School transcript
- statement about your interest in this position including how it will assist you in your career and what contributions you would make to our organization.
Length of Program
The administrative fellowship is designed to be approximately 1 year in length beginning in the month of July. Applications are accepted each year with a deadline of January 31 of each year. Announcements will be made to the candidate of choice in March.
